Talking Cedar’s PNW IPA is Now on Tap in Olympia and Lacey!

The day has arrived! You can now order a cold pint of our PNW IPA at two exclusive locations in Olympia and Lacey. The Westside Tavern and Pints & Quarts now have the distinguished privilege of being the first bars in Olympia and Lacey, respectively, to offer a Talking Cedar beer on tap.

“We are all about forging direct, local relationships, especially in our early stages of growth” says Jason, our brewery’s business manager. He is good friends with the Westside Tavern’s owner, Dean Damitio.

Dean and Jason worked together at Marine View Distributing years ago, and Jason has always been a fan of the food, drinks and atmosphere at the nearly ten-year-old Westside Tavern. Dean reserves a handful of the Westside’s dozen or more handles for super-local brews, so he was thrilled to put one of ours on tap before any other pub in Olympia.

Scott McKinney owns Pints & Quarts in Lacey. Jason delivered beverage orders to him when he worked in distributing and they got to know each other well over those years. Scott and Dean came into our pub in Grand Mound a week or two ago to see the place and have a bite. They asked to see Jason and they forged the deal then and there.

Jason personally delivered kegs of our delicious, hoppy PNW IPA to The Westside Tavern and Pints & Quarts on Friday, September 4. Coming in 7.6% ABV with 80 IBUs, this draft is an IPA lover’s delight. You can also find our Amber on tap at Pints & Quarts.

Mask up, keep your distance, wash your hands and enjoy! The Westside Tavern is serving food and drinks in their restaurant and on their dog-friendly patio. They’re also offering full kitchen service for take out until midnight, seven days a week. Pints & Quarts is serving food and drinks in their restaurant and on a newly expanded outdoor area. You can also order take out.
